Hiked my butt off to only turn up 2 brown elk and 1 deer. Very weird year according to most, they seemed to hang onto their head gear for what seemed like forever. I bet the turkey hunters are scoring all kinds of brown.

We've made 6 days of looking and found 80 lbs of brown and 100 lbs of white. Big ones have dropped, but have seen 8 bulls still packing as of this last weekend. I think factors are water, feed and weather. Crazy year so far. Haven't seen a lot of people out looking which is a good thing so they don't push them. Turkey hunters will definitely find a couple, but they will also push them away from water and feeding areas. We average 8-12 miles a day each and there's 3 of us.
