Eagle Peak Lookout area. Is this 16A? 4600 acres. No containment expected for at least 10 days. Hot, low humidity, and gusty winds expected. As dry as it is, could turn into something big.

I saw a fire map. I was looking to see if it was burning over the old eagle peak burn,but I couldn't tell. If they get it handled soon I know where I'd be in September. Pending rain of course haha.

I think I read 34% contained and back burning some ridge lines.

The east end of the fire is all new fresh timber burn. It did not get into the old HB burn on Eagle peak until this past Sunday. They are letting it slow burn down hill through that old burn scar to clean it up. It burned hot in some areas but from most reports i have heard from guys on the ground is that it did a good understory cleansing burn and it will be in great shape come Sept. pending the rain fall.

We smelled smoke in 16b all weekend. Damn it's dry dry dry down there. Praying for monsoons!
