Anybody going up north this spring? I'm leaving next week for Utah. Was lucky enough to get drawn for a coveted permit. My brother has been helping me with baiting.

Then on June 24th heading to New Brunswick for a week with my friends. All with bow and arrow.

Ne - never had any interest in bear hunting, mainly because I didn't like the flavor of the meat. New Brunswick has some big bears. Good luck with your hunts.

Cant believe that I'm the only Spring Bear hunter?

Its the most relaxing vacation you can have. Sleep late eat big meals then sit for 5 hours till dark. We usually golf, ride ATV's and fish in the morning. Its something everyone should try. Ive been hunting Bear for 20+ Years and wish I started earlier.

All the best places to hunt are less than a day ride from Southern New England. All that for only $1500-$2500 week

Steve. I hunt in Sussex during the fall and South of the Miramachi during the spring. We hunt with a friend that only takes my group. Rader who you hunting with?

Rader1 is not at liberty to discuss the exact location of our top secret hunting spot! We are hoping that Rader2 who is coming along with us will get his first bear and so we're busy providing him with size judging advice like: Shoot the first black animal that comes to the bait (might be a beaver, might be a bear), Big bears come in early, Look for big ears, and if it looks like a black lab, shoot quick, that's a big one.

Any other tips are appreciated.

Finally found a big one. At least 400# , my first "Black" color phase in two years Hunting out here. Easily P&Y, maybe knocking on B&C?.

He's still deep in a canyon 9000 elevation. Waiting for my strong nephews to help get him out.
