Hello,
I am from Arizona, looking to do some hunting in the panhandle area this October. My girlfriend's family lives in Spokane, and has a cabin at Spirit Lake. I've heard from her family that I would most likely be successful on a deer hunt in that area. I just want to get out into the woods and see the wildlife that I don't get to see in my home state (moose, whitetail). I have been doing some research and was thinking I would start near the Priest River area. Any input on areas to start would be greatly appreciated!

There is whitetails literally all over the panhandle. Knocking doors would get you started in productive areas. If you want to hunt public land, find some small chunks between farm fields. Good luck.
