Trad Bow campout and shoot July 12 to 15, in Venango County, and Western PA UBP Campout and Shoot for all UBP members July 20 to 22. This traditional bow event is the largest campout and shoot in the state. Lots of vendors tables, great food and music. Around 100 targets the first weekend, 60 targets the second weekend. Come and shoot for the day or stay the weekend. This is a family event so bring the kids and dogs and the poop scoopers.

My grandson will be 2 yrs old on the 22nd. Maybe someday he can come to PA for the summer. This was his first time shooting. Left go with both hands the first shot but did it right the rest of the time. He kept saying, "agin, agin."

Folks......just a heads up. The grounds were select cut last year and while the trails have been worked since then, I will tell you that if it rains, good mud boots will be a must.

I remember the one time Bobby was at Pine Hill when it rained and he had to be carried across the stream. Was afraid he'd turn into the Tin Man and rust up.

It is me. I used my 29# Bear Tamerlane and a 1616 24SRT-x arrow with a pre-NIBB target point. 55 yards on a cold, windy day. The arrow took 7 seconds to get there, but I calculated where the critter would be, and sho-nuff, got it.
The chances of Pine Hill increased yesterday...the next few days will determine.
I may be the lone tent in RandyLand.....
