What is the latest on rainfall and fires affecting the archery elk hunt in 5B South?

A lot of the forests have been closed for a few weeks however I think the forecast calls for a decent chance of rain this weekend in that area. The AES has hauled about 1.5 million gallons of water this year to some drinkers around the state.

The unit had almost an inch of rain a few weeks ago. Was just in there scouting a few days ago and many tanks were dry but there are also tanks with water. The fires a few years ago has improved the habitat. No fires yet this year.
