My college son and a couple of his buddies from Georgia want to do an out of state bow hunt this fall and are looking at the MTNF. How’s the pressure? Any suggested areas to take a look at? Are there campgrounds? What’s considered a good buck up there? Thanks much! John

I know there is camping down there.The rest I am not for sure.I live in west central Mo. so I don't know there avg. but mine here is 140 to 150 range might be the same?

Its a crazy large area and really spread out. Its like anything else, some areas will have a lot of pressure and some will have less. As a general statement, the deer in there are smaller than the deer in central or northern MO. Doesn't mean there aren't some nice ones in there, but if you see a 130" deer, I'd say you had a good trip.
