Removing tag leg

What are you guys removing the tag leg with on a statewide any deer tag? After deboning the deer, are you using a bone saw (which one) or are you using a hatchet (which one)?

I just use a knife. Cut around it and then separate the joint. No need for a saw or hatchet.

Are you separating at the first leg joint or are you talking about the hip?

Steve, either way, no need to use anything more than a knife. Just cut the ligaments, give it a twist, and it'll pop right off. Hip joint just cut around the ball and it'll peel right away.
