Come on Paul! That bunny offered the perfect shot! Part his ears! Heck, you might even get a cool last hop and a flip out of him! Gotta do something to break the monotony...

pronghorn hunting can be for the "birds" sometimes. Looking forward to the next few days.

What monotony? Oh, 14 hours in a 95 degree blind! Had some action all day but the east wind killed me. i had to move the bind around 2 pm for better placement but then It changed again and I gave up around 5 pm Changing winds tomorrow from NE to SSE ot East around 10 am. Will have to move the blind then to the other side of the water hole.

I'm not much of a complainer, but traffic from FC to Denver has gotten FULL RETARD> You sit in a blind all day long, and then in traffic the other half.

I had a nice buck feeding at 76 yards for about 5 minutes. I was waiting for him to come get a drink, but he decided to run off in the other direction.

Real good terrain just enough sage to crawl in and shoot from sitting. The wind held off just long enough!

Thanks,

There is a big guy, not pictured, had me pinned down at 50 yds and he and about 30+ doe's came running by at 40 yds. The wind switched. Then they sit on private. Very fun!

Nice Pronghorn! What are you guys doing? Spot and stalk? Blind? I'm going up on Saturday (for the first time this season) to hunt some private property we have access to. We have a ground blind already set up there and have a decoy (that's likely not to offer much help before the rut), but the plan is to try to get into the blind when it's still dark. Antelope are regularly in this field and I'm worried that even going in the dark might spook them. Any thoughts/help would be appreciated.

I didn't use a blind. I was on them all day up to 100 yards, using the topography and finally got lucky at 55 yards. Actually, I was on them for 4 straight years only hunting 2-3 days each year. I prefer elk hunting so I don't hunt after opening week. Sorry I could not rotate those images.
