Quick question. Is there a minimum amount of points deer need to have to shoot it. I did not find anything in the big game brochure. Thanks!

Copied from page 19 (bottom left hand corner) in the 2018 big game brochure. Look at the BUCK section last sentence. Hope that helps. Good luck on your hunt!

"SPECIES IDENTIFICATION PAGE. Whitetails and mule deer. See pages 9 and 30. ? BUCK (ANTLERED): A male animal with antlers at least 5 inches long. There are no antler-point restrictions for deer. ? DOE (ANTLERLESS): A female animal with no antlers. “Antlerless” can also mean a young male with antlers less than 5 inches. ? EITHER SEX: A legal buck or doe."

Just don't shoot an elk or a moose and your good, assuming you're West of I25. East of I25 there are some whitetail only tags

Thanks! Even if I do shoot an elk I will be fine. I got the tag ;)
