Wow, that was quite the ordeal. I'm glad you're ok, Perry.
My camp is about a hour north of Benezette. I saw this black one warming himself two days ago and helped him off the road so it wouldn't get run over. It was at least 40" long. Beautiful. Hope it doesn't give you flashbacks :^)

Yeah, I know, the whole evil serpent thing right? Lol. They don't look any different after they bite someone. I used a muzzleloader ramrod... from a lonnnnng muzzleloader :^)

Back when I was younger and stupid I held them with my bare hands and would get in the sacking contests at the snake hunts but thank the good Lord I was never bitten. And okay Roy I don't need to hear it but yes I'm still stupid. Just not as crazy lol

Can I post about my dog bite ordeal... I was in the hospital for 3 days afterwards. :)

No, but when I think about it I got bit on a Thursday went in on a friday. Got out on Monday. So that's 4 days.

Getting bit by a snake while bow hunting is something bow hunting related , Ed. The dog thing not as much. LOL.

So nut was bowhunting???? Had to be for elk. Why else would he of been there..
Wait if I had a bow in my hand when I got bit would that count as bowhunting??? Yeah yeah thats right I was target practicing when I got bit.. :)
