ApacheBowhunters 2 Day Shoot

Apache Bowhunters will be having our annual 2 Day shoot, September 8th and 9th. We have cut all new shooting lanes in the bottom this past weekend with a Brush Hog and it looks like there will be some interesting shots that can be set up in it now. We will also have a Coon Shoot Saturday night at dark. If you haven't shot a Coon Shoot you are missing a really good time. There will be free camping as usual and you can start camping Friday. If you are coming and shooting both days and the Coon Shoot, you might as well camp. Looking forward to seeing those who attend and it should be a great time. We are a family oriented club so bring the kids. DANNY

Where is this taking place? Is it a traditional shoot?

It is a mixed shoot, compound and traditional. I am a traditional shooter and our club has a fair number of traditional shooters. The club website is: www.apachebowhunter.com it has a map. You can now get to the club off of Rowe Rd, earlier in the summer you could not.. Take Rowe, it only runs east off of St. Rt 23, to Williams St (it is at the top of the rise after you go across Big Walnut Creek) and turn right, the club entrance will be exactly 1/2 mile after the turn, and will be on the right. Our club is south of Columbus just outside of the little town of Lockborne which is south of Scioto Downs/Eldorado Casino off of State Route 23. Hope this helps. DANNY

I've been out the 2 times this summer after moving to Columbus Area a little over 5 yrs ago......real nice place, had a great time each time.

We will still be having our shoot this weekend even if Tropical Storm Gordon shows up. BUT because if it, they are calling for 2-3 inches of rain Sunday alone and rain Saturday, I don't think many of us will be camping. We will be shooting. DANNY
