Buckhill state forest ?

Anybody hunt the Buckhill state forest in Oneida county in the town of western?If so whats it like?

I did about 10 years ago. A lot of mature woods and pines. Pretty hilly , but worth exploring. I saw some bear tracks and the expected amount of deer sign for that area.

Pat, you are correct. Back then we visited Buck once or twice, but hunted Penn Mountain much more. Better geography, habitats and deer numbers.

Not too far from there, I always had good luck on Jackson Hill when I lived in NY.

I have hunted Buck hill much prefer down the road at Clark Hill or Penn Mt.
