Unit 49 Cow Moose Help

My buddy was lucky this year to pull a Unit 49 cow moose tag. He has hit all the spots he found cow moose in last year, covered 50 miles over the last week and has only turned up bulls. Any elk hunters come across a cow moose in their hunts? He is archery hunting. Thanks in advance.
