Field Quartering Deer?

Wanted to ask if anyone knows if field quartering a deer is legal (prior to bringing to check station). I ask this because I have a great spot almost a mile into the woods but the terrain would be backbreaking to drag a deer out solo. Thanks in advance!

Not sure ? I've never done it . Having to bring them to a check station could make it a problem . It'd be great if we could check em in online or by phone. I'd call Concord. Good luck !!
