Snakes in Hopkinsville area

I just read Rut Nuts ordeal with a timber rattlesnake bite. Since my friends and I have a whitetail hunt scheduled for the last week in October near Hopkinsville I was wondering what venomous snakes might be an the area? His ordeal makes me wonder if we should invest in some snake boots.

Rattlers, copperheads and possible a cotton mouth near water. Should not be a problem just watch where u step.

I live 30 miles from Hopkinsville to the West and once an a while run across a rattler but few times a year I’ll run across a cotton mouth on my property. Just stay alert
