I guess I’ll get this started. 60lb Osage selfbow from the ground and a second arrow after stalking up on his bed.
Would have passed with the recurve but tickled to death to get him with the selfbow

Sitting in my stand on Friday afternoon fully expecting to have some rutting action but instead a couple of racoons ambushed my feeder. Luckily for them, my arrow and broadhead cost too much to risk on a varmint(one that I won't eat). Coyotes scared them off and about 20-30 mins later hear more leaves rustling. Again, expecting deer to hit the food plot and feeder but it's a sow with 5 little ones(20-25 lbs). She was super nervous but finally came out into the open. After settling down a little, I drew and sent a 2 blade Magnus her way. She went maybe 30 yards before piling up in an overflow ditch. She was near broadside when I released but apparently spun and my arrow entered behind the last rib and exited between the opposite shoulder and neck with about 8-10 inches of arrow and broadhead sticking out. Before getting down to check out the sow, the little ones congregated about 30 yards behind my stand in some briars. Well, not their best decision. Whacked one of the little guys and would've shot more but only had 1 arrow left and wanted to save it just in case the sow wasn't done. Never saw a deer Friday or Saturday on food plots - all were staying in cover and eating acorns.

Moved to OK eight years ago and watched my daughter and grand kids take numerous deer around here. Never hunted here as moose in Canada were calling each year. All of her family moved back to NY a year ago so I thought I would hunt a bit here for the first time. A nice fat doe for the freezer just after sunrise this am!

Got this guy on 11/25. My dad hunted with me for the first time sense he had his knees replaced ( over 3 years). He shot a smaller 7 with his rifle about 10 minutes before I got this guy. Not a big deer but a special hunt.
