Slippery Ann

My wife and I are planning on running over to Slippery Ann on Oct 10th for a day or two. We have never visited the refuge . Historically, would one expect to find elk on the refuge this late in the rut ? Just returned from CO. The elk were going crazy in the Uncompahgre. Hunted southern WY. Sept. 12-20 and not a peep from bulls. A very wierd year IMO.

Sounds like they were still there and bugling yesterday 10-6-18. There is a facebook page called Slippery An Elk Viewing Area that someone put together and has updates on there. Good luck!
