What is your favorite day/ date to bowhunt the rut? Why? Everyone has a special day or days. Some like the cruising stage, some the lockdown., and some post rut. When is yours.

I'm kind of partial to every day. I just love being in the woods. But then again the first 2 weeks of November are special too.

Whatever days I can. If I have a choice, some where around the 15th of November. First stage does are done, the seek is over, and bucks are moving finding their next doe.
I’ve never had a lot of pre rut success. But, there is a couple days window on the backside that bucks are every where looking. So, if you are around a die in heat, you get lots of action.

Any day after a cold front comes thru. Or any day 4 days before or 4 days after Veterans Day. I would also add the last week of season if it’s cold and snow on the ground if you hunt over bait or around a good food supply. Afternoon hunts are best the last week.

I hunt everyday. I like hunting food sources early. I have trouble shooting the bucks in the rut. They Won't stand still.

I like that 3,or 4 day stretch either side on Veterans day like Gobbler said , With my best day being Nov 9 ,Seems like i have written that date on a lot of Buck tags over the years.
