Hunted there about 6 or 7 years ago. Typical Tug Hill State land , but there are some deer and some very nice areas.

Would just say Penn Hill is not Tug Hill. Close but off the plateau.

I am with Pat. Being straight up 12 from Utica/I90, the whole corridor gets a lot of pressure. Forestport area has pretty good access and less archery pressure. For bow season, head West to Happy Valley and the Oswego County and Jefferson County Public land.

I also agree with Pat and Denali. Access to Penn Mtn. is very easy, right off Rt. 12. I only hunted it during the early mz season, but it was crowded. Better off looking for some smaller , off the beaten path tracts of state land. There is much to choose from either further North or East or West.
