If you go on a guided hunt, what percentage of the cost of the hunt is a good and reasonable tip for a guide who takes good care of you?

Just like any service the tip should represent the quality of the service. I would say 10-15% at a minimum, but I have been hunting with guides that actually became friends and the effort, support and attitude they exhibited was exceptional. In these cases 20-25% was warranted. It also makes a difference whether the guide is actually the owner as opposed to just an employee.

I agree 10-15%. But if you’re successful add more. They will end up doing more work, and may be very helpful with getting your deer mounted/butchered/shipped etc
