Here in 7M the bucks have been up and cruising the last few days. Starting to move during daylight hours.

8H..... Early last week I watched three bucks chasing a doe all over the oak patch I was hunting. I thought it was a little early but..... lots of things seem early this year.

2 Weeks ago had a 5 point with his nose up a doe in my front yard. I was really surprised to see that. Was out this morning and didn't see anything.

Saw a decent 8 point harassing a doe Friday night in 9H. He wouldn't let her to far out is his sight so I imagine she is getting close. Haven't seen too much activity in 9A yet but several guys have.

Had a nice buck chase a doe thru my backyard this afternoon. All I could do was watch as I just had gall bladder surgery.

Walking out tonight I caught that distinctive smell of a rutting buck. Stopped me in my tracks. About 50 yards later pushed out a lone deer. Most exciting part of my season so far.

Unfortunately the weather is supposed to be warming up. The cold spell last week really got the daylight activity going here in 7M. The next ten days should be the best time to be in the woods.

T Zeke - the doe i saw yesterday looked like she was walking on eggshells because the ground was so soft.

Still have not seen chasing, there is a lot of standing water in the woods which can make a blood trail a nightmare..passed up 2 shots on does ,....hope I don't regret it later...Tom

Saw 4 bucks this am in 9H. Two real good ones. One was with a doe and the other was crushing.

It’s on in my woods. Saw 4 bucks yesterday in 4K with two chasing. Saw 4 bucks today in4j. None chasing. But I never see 4 bucks in a day in my NY spots. Until now. Must be global warming.
