Me and the wife are considering the family thing, and given the way Colorado is, we are considering moving to the mid west. Iowa is towards the top of the list, mainly for the quality of life and I'm a whitetail nut. Any info on agencies would be great or general dues and don't. FYI this is a year+ out. Thanks again guys.

I'm retired now, spent 17 years in Iowa, and 10 years in MN. MN departments will pay better and all in all offer a more professional environment than Iowa. The down side is MN is way more liberal.
