Sandhill crane hunt

Has anyone ever hunt sand hill cranes down south. I put in for the first time this year a got drawn for the hunt around thanksgiving. Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I live up north and I’m under time constraints for me to travel down south to scout or check out potential areas until the weekend before the hunt.
