This may have been covered and I missed it. After sitting in the snow all day yesterday, I'm thinking of buying this suit. What do you guys have to say good or bad? Quite? Thanks for the imput!!

Also which color is best for tree stand hunting? Thinking predator grey

Best money ever spent on hunting. I've been going out in my under armour 4.0 base layer. Got a .6 mile hike to the stand, then put the suit on when I'm up in there, and I'm comfy for my all day sits. Highly recommend it

I don't mean to hijack the thread but if anyone has any thoughts about the Iwam and heater body suit I would be interested. Thanks

Skook, I haven't had the Iwom But 2 of my close buddies do and they love theirs. I had a HBS and sold it. Too bulky and I hated having my whole upper body exposed when I wanted to shoot. It wasn't bad if the shot happened fast. But if it took awhile to develop, you get cold. I bought the Warmbag when they were still being made as I liked the idea of my arms being able to be out. It was also the only suit of the kind that was available in my favorite camo ASAT. I love it. BUT, I want to get away from a stand alone bodysuit type. I want just quality layering and good bibs/jacket. I have great Day one Predator bibs and will get the jacket to match this year. I'm poor so I have to by a few quality pieces a year;)

I have 2 Heater Body suits and love them. The bulk doesn't bother me a bit, but keeps me in the woods. Never saw an issue with "exposing" my body when shooting, I am usually not naked underneath.

Ok BW I just placed the order! Now all I have to do is figure out where the whittetail mount is going to go on the wall!!??

Great!! It's got very little noise to it. It does repel rain pretty well, so that's what is making the noise, but you can still move quietly. I don't think a deer would bust you from 20 yards. I've been trying to get people to get an IWOM for awhile because it's such a great product. Wish more people would give them a shot!

Only problem with a heater body suit is you don't want to get out of it and into the cold at the end of the day.

Heater body suit is guaranteed to keep you warm....and quieter than iwom when it's cold.

Hopefully my iwom is here by the weekend. I will be in a tree all day Sunday and Monday. Tomorrow I guess I will have to do it without.

From: Franklin

I wouldn`t wear that iwom….especially in a treestand. If you have a problem or accident in the stand your screwed. Might as well tie your boots together. lol.

Wear your warm hunting clothes and buy a cheat camo kids sleeping bag to sit in. Just don`t let your friends see you in that insulated dress.

From: BW

There's nothing wrong with the IWOM. You can unzip the bottom so that your feet are free. That's the beauty of it. You can wear it as just a jacket, the whole suit with or without the feet wrapped up, and you can fold it up around your waist. Seems like a lot of talk from people who don't have a lot of experience with it. I haven't had any troubles with it in cold weather in 4 years.

From: Ru4snow

Personally, bow hunting, I wear layers with a down vest. Also stick body warmers on chest over first layer and hand warmers in hand muff.

From: Franklin
08-Nov-18
Look at the suit....the top is no different than any other hunting garment. So the legs are in a bag....(dangerous)….that you can cover your feet. A wool blanket will do the same thing.

From: BW
08-Nov-18
Dangerous if you're doing jumping jacks. Or your stand is huge and you have to walk from one side to the other. A wool blanket wouldn't do nearly as good of job. This has insulated zippersand you're confined within one bag so that your body heat is trapped as one, not in sections like your will blanket idea. So much negativity...jeez. Have you used one?

not possible for the iwom to be as warm as the heater. if you use common sense you would choose the heater everytime

From: Inmyelement

Let's hear the common sense.

08-Nov-18
my iwom was delivered yesterday. I have to say I like its potential. Tried it on and had to take it off soon as I was getting warm. It appears to be quite and comfortable. I hunt out of double ladder stands with rail so no worries about safty. If it helps me stay in the woods longer the odds of success go up as I see it. I usually hunt all day.

From: stagetek

I have a HBS and love it for ground blinds. Very warm. But, I can't wear it, or anything confining like it, in a tree stand. Just can't. I've got to be able to have my arms free. I can't fly, but even flapping is better than being totally "encased".

From: BCD
09-Nov-18
the iwom is no different than a jacket on top, impossible to be as warm as the heater where your whole upper body is in one" room". the bottom on the iwom is just dumb and dangerous for a treestand. its backwards, just look at the two, no brainer

09-Nov-18
To each there own I guess. This product should fit my needs perfectly. Easy to pack in, warm, and quite. The mobility issue means nothing to me as I will put it on and off in a 2 man ladder stand with a railing around me.I have about 15 ladder stands on the property and only 2 hang ons. I won't where the suit in the hang ons. I cant wait to get in the woods Sunday and Monday for all day sits. Ps. I have a heavy cabelas 1 piece suit in outfitter camo I will sell at a good price. It is extremely warm. I won't be needing it anymore. ;)

So much hate for the product. It is very well designed, and only one change I could see making on it.

Just shot a nice one. A little far back though. Gotta get down and check the arrow

My body generally stays warm but I always struggle with keeping my feet warm. All the heated socks I've seen have problems with the battery working its way out.

Has anyone found a pair of good heated socks?

From: skookumjt

Tweed, cold hands and feet means your body is getting cold. Your body restricts blood flow to the extremities to protect the more important organs. Staying warm requires attention to all parts of the body.

I have learned it helps to wear two hats and a neck warmer when I get on stand as well as using a hand muff. If you don't want to use an expensive HBS/Iwom, boot blankets are very helpful.

I'd love to try on a iwom for sizing reasons. Anyone know of a place that stocks them? Like the idea of free arms unlike the bhs which just didn't seem practical for the moment of truth. Tweed- look into thermacell heated insoles. Amazing and can be turned on and off by remote or phone bluetooth. I tried many heated socks and never found a set i liked.

Where are you northbound? I'd be happy to drive it out for you to try on after season. I'm 6 foot btw

I'm in southern manitowoc county. Travel north frequently. Did you just buy yours online? I'm 6'2 and most my gear is a large but being this is a unique kinda thing I'm not sure how sizing would run.

From: skookumjt

Their sizing system seems pretty thorough. It asks several questions and appear to be semi custom made.

Believe it or not, I got it for pretty cheap 4 years ago when we got it at the Deer & Turkey expo in Madison. They charged $199 for the show specials. I'm 6' and I think there's plenty of room for you to fit in mine. I live in the Sauk City area (Madison area) Let's meet up sometime after deer season so you can check it out. For paying that much money it would be nice to try something on before buying. They have been at the Deer & Turkey expo for a couple years now too with ones to try on.

Here is my follow up assessment after using 1 several times. Just my opinion. Pro Very warm Convenient pack ability Nice hand muff Love the camo pattern Roomy inside even with 2 layers on Built solid

Cons *A little noisy, (water proofing) rubbery sound. Ok beyond 20 yards or in windy conditions *A little movement restrictive for feet if you would need to turn to follow an approaching deer.

Perfect for ladder stands I would not use it in hang ons personally. Others may be good with it. I fold the base back out of way unless it very cold. Then I put feet inside and zip it. Great for gun or x bow since you dont have to draw when deer is close. Great for bow hunting when very minor noise isn't a problem. Super dead quite night at point blank range could be a problem.

Things I would change * might try full length zipper for easier on and off. That might add noise and Possibly lose a little warmth however? Need the fly a little more centered and higher for us not in porn industry. Hahaha.

Overall, I'm glad I bought it!! I will use it a lot since I mainly hunt ladder stands amymore. Just my opinion.

From: BW
18-Nov-18
I'll agree with basically everything. I do use it with a hang on, but I'm young and don't mind the movement with it because I'm use to it. Glad you like it!!

19-Nov-18
I will stay with my HBS,,,,,, either way late season, and really cold days, and I mean cold, with no wind, and the sun up, great day time movement,,, you can not kill them if your not out there.......

If I was going with a iwom system, but money was an issue, get a good military mummy bag, and put shoulder straps on it, I used one for years, and plenty warm,,,, throw in a hand warmer and your set

Guys, if you are interested in finding good suits and tuxedos I can suggest you to check https://www.gentlemansguru.com/product-category/prom-tuxedos/ . It is a nice site with good suits and tuxedos at acceptable price. Now this brand is my favorite and each year I buy 2 or 3 suits from them. The guys work so perfectly that they create a pleasant atmosphere. If you want a good suit or tuxedo, take a look on their website gentlemansguru.com where there are a lot of models.

I have one, and I recommend t to everyone. I received it on our wedding anniversary from my wife, but I got her a womens referee shirts that year. The IWOM is designed to give you the needed time in the woods to allow the harvest of that trophy buck you’ve been stalking for a long time. It guarantees comfort as it’s an all-in-one, one-piece, full-body hunting suit. The arms are designed to keep you comfortable in any conditions between 40F and -40F. The best thing, in my opinion, is that it has the mobility of a traditional high-end hunting jacket.
