What have any you hear of this 311" non-typical taken in Illinois....is it legit or not?
Yes my sister in laws girlfriends brother was with the guy when he put a rage in the cage. Real horn donkey makes all the other slobber knockers look puny
It's legit. Shot 4 miles south of my families farm, my uncle knows the guy who owns the land it was taken on
I know a guy who lives in a state next to Illinois that has a cousin who hunts in Illinois about 300 miles from where it was taken and he says it scores over 150 easy and was at least 28 years old. It field dressed 280 which means it’s live weight was 400 and something. It was shot with a crossbow on leased land.
Here’s a picture of the buck from the bowsite forums page. From the picture, looks as if the hunter did shoot the buck with a compound bow, not a crossbow. As an official measurer for Pope&Young, he is definitely over 150”, but I don’t think the deer was over 28 years old.
Not much of a smile on his face!

He’s upset his wife said no more deer mounts in the house.
He actually likes clean typicals better
And it broke his arrow and dulled a broadhead
And he knew he had to drag it uphill
He got the bill from the high fence farm he was hunting at! Ha
