Try Eagle Eye Outfitters in Yates county. Ton of deer out there. I had a great time.

I used to be a licensed guide in northern NY, mostly remote brook trout fishing in the ADK’s. I have to agree with Pat. With that being said, I did have successful deer hunting clients from downstate, who were mainly interested in experiencing the historic northern zone hunting camp culture in the ADK’s and on Tug Hill.

I agree with Pat. Go to Ohio. But under 2000 might be tough.

I hunted years ago with Little General in PA. Not a guided hunt per se, more just paying like $600 for lodging, 3 meals a day, and advanced scouting. I saw like 30+ deer in 4 days there. I saw they killed 5 bucks this week. All public land. They give you advice on where to sit, etc.

You don't need a guide at all Street Glide there are thousands of acres state land in New York ... That in my opinion goes untouched during archery season.. Firearm is a different story though.. You just have to be willing to put in your time to prepare and scout.. I have a ~140" buck that has made it through the gauntlet of firearm season. So I hope he can avoid death from now until next season and he does travel on stateland that I focus on.. These deer do use the private properties and crop rich real estate that are excellent for deer but they do go into N.Y. S.L. It looks as though your only down fall is you're at least three hours away? But if your employer allows personal time you can scout in the spring maybe grease a couple of thunder chickens..? I would suggest to go to the NYSDEC interactive mapper to locate state land. Or subscribe to OnX maps $29.00 a year for premier membership. or related apps to search. If this isn't what you really want to do is Contact Bob Partridge at (607) 434-2420 he's in Cooperstown NY area go to his website www. lsguideservice.com although I've never used him he's credible guy via conversation from friends and acquaintances and will get you what you want within reason, and not drain your bank account. Best of luck!!

I hunted with Kevin Evans of Turkey Ridge Raquette for 20+ years. Kevin is a great guide and he has good deer and turkey numbers in the area. he is very knowledgeable about bow hunting, and has numerous tree and ladder stands and blinds - all set up with regard for the prevailing wind conditions. His prices are very reasonable. Kevin is an honest guy with really good hunting ethics. I highly recommend him.

I’ll just throw in my 2 cents here. If u want a big buck in New York and don’t have a strictly managed piece of private land try ur luck in BOW ONLY zones. As far as wanting a reasonable price just keep saving until u have a ridiculous amount (4 grand) then take the trip to Illinois, Ohio, Missouri, anywhere u can find an outfitter without a trophy fee. Happy hunting!!
