I follow a YouTube channel called Northmen, it’s a Guild of craftman from all parts of Northern Europe. If you are into handcrafted tools, knives, timber framing and traditional craftsmanship check them out on YouTube, Northmen.
This video I just watched is crafting an English long bow. Amazing skill!

I'll check it out later....I tried my hand at a couple of D bows (what we in the bowyer world call that style) - cause the cross section of the limbs resembles a D the the flat being the outside of the stave or a single growth ring in yew or osage (back of the bow) , and the curved part (the belly) being where you tiller the bow.
I was never good at it. A flat bow, (like most primitive peoples used) I was much better at.

Made me want to find a nice straight grain log to split ;) if you watch the other videos from these guys it’s amazing how precise they are with their hand tools. True craftsman for sure.
One of my favorites is the birth of a wooden house. It’s a long video but the kids and I have watched it half a dozen times.
