I am out. New /old spot. I forgot how much of a pain in the ass it is to use a climber. For 15 plus years I used them till 2 years ago. It’s not that hard, but compared to walking in to a preset hang on. It sucks !!!

Did meet two nice guys though this morning. They were from mashpee and are Hunting in the same woods with me in Rochester. Shout out to you if you are on here !!!

90% of the time I’m using a climber. But today walked to a hang on. It was nice. So quiet.

Good luck guys. Woke up, wind blowing and lost mono I'm embarrassed to admit. The little pine I set yesterday would have been scary I thought. Now having gone outside I'm kicking myself. Bad choice.

Just a quick hunt this morning. I'll be back out later. Checked the cam before I left. Nocturnal.

I got Bean boots the only way I survive is with toe warmers. $1.69 at cvs. I used other ones that don’t work great. They had yaktrax at Sierra trading post .60 each but they suffocate. Even toe warmers suffocate, best to take your foot out after 3 hours and re- air them.

I can't get out hunting until Saturday morning. I plan on going deer hunting in the morning and coyote hunting in the afternoon with my boy. I just bought a game call for the coyote hunting. We'll see how it works. I'm tired of losing deer to coyotes on my backyard. Mrw knows what I mean. One of my buddies got a nice 4 pointer this morning.

Xi, you apologised to Mother Nature. Imagine if you didn't.

Saw two young bucks play fighting this morn. Going to a field tonight.

I have a doe that walks through my yard at dark. No one following...yet.

Arch, is he nocturnal, or is your camera just in his night range? Find out where he beds. He will do a mid day stretch, and might start moving during first/last light. Something to consider when planning your attack.

Plh

Two different bucks. The first buck did venture through this funnel occasionally in daylight back in Oct. Hes only coming through at night now. The other buck is random but he Is heading to property I can’t get access to. Does are in the funnel during the day. It’s just timing. Will I be there when the bucks pass through?

14-Nov-18
Well then. I digress. Maybe a mock scrape off the trail to get them handing around a little longer?

Worth a try. Back out. Windy as hell. Saw a dead spike on the road earlier. Hoping for some movement today.

Well that was the first cold sit of the day. 6 1/2 hrs in the tree today and saw 0. Talked to my buddy mike he was at another spot I hunt with him. He was covered up in deer 5 does, a yearling and two bucks grunting and chasing everything around.

My season is just about over. I don’t like the cold very much and I don’t like going out in public land when the orange army starts walking around. Couple more days and then it will be the occasional warm morning sit for me

One young buck. That was it. That was like hunting in late December. The wind was tough. Tomorrow should be good. Time to warm up and eat backstrap.

d.f.a. are your "moon boots" those military ones? always heard they are super warm, and have been interested in them. if so,what do they go for? thanks.

We called the Mickey Mouse boots and yes they are very warm. Hard to find now they come in white and black. They wouldn’t be good for hang on stands with ladders, zero flexibility.

I got a pair of cheap boots last year. “Guide Gear?” 1400 thinsulate I stood in water most of today and only after about 4-5 hours did the water start seeping . I think I paid $65 best $65 I’ve spent for warmth.

Bigsevig. I have taken a pic of them here. I have the arctic pro from muck and they are warm, but don’t even compare to these. The bean boots are a little lower cut to them and leather and I think gore Tex also. Just don’t plan on taking a hike in these because they are more a comfy/warm boot than walking

I can’t find them anywhere on the internet. I got them last year at the outlet in wareham probably about 120 or so. Warmest boots I have ever owned but I can see the insulation wearing with constant walking. I am a size 9 1/2 - 10 and I bought the 9 and have plenty of room for bean wool socks
