Somewhere on here someone talks about cooking deer heart. will I'm being lazy this cold AM, Would you guys kindly refresh this topic ? My son shot a management buck yesterday and we kept the heart for the first time. Thanks in advance

I do believe with his first buck he did he did take a bite right there in the field. Don't think that would fly now

If the chest cavity is real not messy when I field dress, I save the heart, grind it into the burger.
