Anyone know of a good place to purchase a pickup load of seasoned firewood? I'm in Southington but don't mind taking a ride, especially if it's on my way to the NW corner to hunt. I have about 2 cords of new firewood from a huge oak I took down this spring, but it needs to sit for a while.

BBB - I sometimes think my wood may be beginning to get a bit "seasoned.".... not sure that is a good thing though...
Check out link. Prices and delivery fees posted. The cool thing about the Open Hearth is they employ homeless men and give them a sense of pride that one gets from working as opposed to a hand out. Warms your house while warming your heart...

I don't have seasoned fire wood but if anyone on here is looking for wood, i have several hardwoods to take down. Send me a PM if you are interested. I live in Ellington.

Gman first where is Ellington? Second when you say hardwood what type of tree specifically are you talking about?

Ellington is in Tolland County, northeast of Hartford about 20 miles. Most of the trees are oaks.
