Unit 53 help.......Please

Hello and happy Holidays. Guys, I'm trying to find out anything I can about unit 53. I've heard the country is steep and that there are two wilderness areas within the unit. I'm also under the impression there are some nice bull elk there? I'm trying to find out the best access points, and weather or not there might be a reliable local person who has horses to pack out meat? Thanks.....Joe

Hey Joe, where ya goin with that bow in your hand? ;) 53 is steep! There are some good bulls in there, but you're going to work your ass off to find them. I'd avoid the 1st hunt unless hunting the wilderness. Too many Jeep's and off road traffic.
