Are ANTLER TRAPS (shed traps) bad to use

Illegal in ma I believe. I wouldn't do just because they could possibly get tangled up in the trap itself if you use bungee or para Ford or whatever you use.

Dom, please dont feed the deer in Massachusetts. If you do it in CT, drag a couple old Christmas trees out and put your bait in the middle. When the bucks start to nuzzle the trees around to get the bait it will dislodge weakened antlers. But I wouldn't bait at all.

Do not use antler traps. Deer can get stuck in these and die. Awful idea.
