Don’t buy a Ford! All our work trucks are Fords and I have yet to have one get to 140,000 miles. We scrapped a 2012 truck in 2015 as it needed a new engine. Take my word for it.

Bought an expedition and had nothing but problems. My second Ford ever. First one was a late 90’s f150. Went and bought the wife a Nissan Armada. Never will get a Ford suv or truck in my lifetime again

Although the expedition isn’t a truck it is on the same chassis and has the same engine as a f150

Spike - we have the same truck! Well, mines sorta grayish brown. But otherwise, same deal. LOVE it.

First On Race Day! Wow, my '99 Superduty is coming close to 350K. 7.3 with a 6spd, freakin' love it! My 78 Bronco runs like a champ, might love that more! My wife's Flex freakin' rocks, and passes everything but a gas station! Of course I'm a big guy and don't fit in those tiny little imports anyhow.

Our Subaru is a POS, but it keeps running, if you slurp the oil out of the spark plug tubes every 10K. Best thing about it is the anti-hunters think I'm one of them! that and I can park it in the city and not give a crap what happens to it.

Will, we don’t buy them for the bells and whistles that’s for sure just the handsome looks and most importantly reliability!

My truck is great, your truck is great but the OP never got an answer to his question. Really, what is the problem?

I don’t own a ford but I’m assuming a F150 may be a little under powered if you are towing a lot of weight. I would google the tow rating for that truck.

My 2002 Ram 1500 quad cab running good. Little rust on bottom of doors, but other than that, I'm having a blast. I took it offroad to hunt. Went down a tight trail for 45 minutes, came into powerlines and road those for another 30 minutes. Didn't really hunt, but had a blast. I have had several Fords and liked them. With ever manufacturer there will be pros and cons. Same make and model will have a junker and the best you ever owned. Buying a car is like gambling. You are mostly throwing away your money, but at some point you might get a winner.

Captain, according to www.newcars.com website a 2016 Ford 4X4 crew cab F150 V8 w/3:31 gears shall tow 8900#. Two wd will tow 9100#. Hope this helps in your decision making.

Mrw those 7.3 diesels run forever...they just suck to start in cold and lack power. I finally broke down and traded my oldest wrecker In Today 01 f350 7.3 for a new f450 wrecker.....unfortunately i dont have a ton Of choices with my tow trucks.... If I was 1/2 ,3/4 or even 1 ton shopping it wouldnt of been a ford.....

Captain, you're going to like that truck. When my 99' was in the shop for a clutch (finally at 325K) the dealership gave me a F150 to use, I was pulling my boat with that truck without a problem. I was impressed.
