Anyone ice fishing in the Z9 area? There are a couple ponds around Westborough that have adequate ice but work has made it difficult to go hunting for some decent ice.
You have ice where you live for the ice fishing?

I went a couple of weeks ago in Westford and there was 9" of ice! I can't get out now until the 10th due to travel plans. But, if you are interested in getting a group of MA bowsiters together on the 10th on some pond / lake in zone 9, I would be glad to help organize.

Ice fished in Boylston area two weeks ago. Six inched thick.

Excellent! Thank you both. This sounds very promising.
I think a friend and I are going to go ahead and give Little Chauncey (Westboro) a go tomorrow morning. I'll bring the drill and inch out slow. If anyone is about, I'd love to meet you in person. I'm bringing a grill, and beer. If the ice is good, I'll update the thread here.
If the ice isn't good, I'll be under water...free grill.

Lulz on the free grill. You'll probably be fine. I was on 6 this afternoon near Clinton and 4.5 in Princeton on Tuesday.

I was actually thinking of hitting one of the Chauncy's on Saturday or Sunday with my 8 year old. I fished Webster lake last weekend and it was a good 6-7 inches

Finally made it out to Little Chauncey. See you there. I’m the big guy in the bucket
