I’m reading mass wildlife quarterly. Looks like air rifles are legal for squirrel? I’m a bout to have a party up in here

I've called mass fish and game and they said " not illegal, but we don't condone it" I have a Benjamin prowler .22 it's killed more squirrels than my tires have

I really thought previous years was “no air rifle” specifically.

I always took "riffles and handguns of any caliber" to mean those varmint air riffles that are basically .22's were fine. What's the difference? The pellet is the same size and the muzzle velocity is pretty much the same too.

Try hunting them with a bow it's a trip I've done it for years but I have a son that works for an arrow company I won't name

If you guys get that mass wildlife magazine it mentions air rifle ARE legal I couldn’t believe it. I have a qb79 I can shoot a quarter at 37 yards. I can hit a milk jug at 85 yards

Non of my squirrels ever squealed on me about using an air rifle. They were all looking down from tree rat heaven. Let's Go

Matt, The shotgun and archery limitation is only for WMA's stocked with pheasant during pheasant season. Any other times rifles are fine whether rimfire, centerfire or air.
