Got a call from a friend yesterday about some post season clearance prices on black powder firearms at Walmart. Picked up a Traditions Buck Stalker in black for $99 in Orange, Ma. I got the last one, but other Walmart's probably have their own deals going on. Gotta get a rail and scope for it, anyone else have one of these smoke poles? Any recommendations for glass?

I have a Nikon muzzleloader scope. Nikons are good scopes for the money.

Thanks for the recommendations yall. I think I'm going to go with the Nikon just cause it's a bit cheaper and seems like it's got all the features I'm looking for. The Leupold's are nice pieces for sure, checked out one for my slug gun last season

I have several Nikon Prostaff 3x9x40 scopes on my guns. I have one on my TC Pro Hunter, one on my TC Omega, and one on my deer rifle that I rarely use anymore in NY.... I just picked up my daughter her own TC Pro Hunter in black and stainless and bought a nice used Leupold VxII from my buddy and put it on hers. I am giving it to her for her for her birthday in June. I have a couple other Leupolds as well, I love the Nikon Prostaff duplex scope. One of my favorites for the $$

For northeast woods a Nikon is great for the price as your only going 100 yards tops. If I was out west going long range then maybe I would spend the extra money for a higher end scope.

The thread morphed somewhat to scopes. Best glass IMO that I have owned in order, best first. Aimpoint SC9000, Bausch & Lomb Elite 3200, Leupold VXR, Nikon Prostaff. I have not owned a trijicon accupoint but I have looked through them many times. Hands down the best glass for my eyes.
