Like riding a bike. Took my bow out for a spin after a 2 month nap. Here's my first 2 shots at the range at 90yds! The first one was nearest the red center.

drslyr, you have to use a recurve at the saddle get together.

I don't always shoot with both eyes closed, but when I do, it's money! LOL A real Dos Equie"s Man! Stay Thirsty My Friends!

After seeing this guy shoot at the saddle get together last year I don't doubt that was a 90 yard shot at all.

From: Deerdawg

Few years back I was shooting 50 - 70 yards regularly with success. With these new compound bows, if your not afraid to lose an arrow and practice, you can connect! Tt really comes down to one's ability to see well. The rest is mechanical. No wind helps too! You see the new sniper scopes out that have a laser that you lock on target, then with a trigger that you soft squeeze and when the laser hits the target the gun goes off automatically! Bull eye every time! Imagine that on a bow.

From: fran

Why would you question if its real or not? What would he have to gain by staging it?

From: BC
20-Feb-19
Actually most of my practice is long range. It makes those 20 and 15 yarder's a chip shot. We shoot out to 90 at the club all the time. In my yard I can get 32 yards if I push it. Try it and you'll see it makes you more accurate overall.

Man you’re more cynical than even me.

"After seeing this guy shoot at the saddle get together last year I don't doubt that was a 90 yard shot at all."

Yup, that ^.

I'll admit I'm usually a skeptic on something like this but after watching him and Eastie last year I would be more inclined than not to believe spectacular results that either of them posted.

From: Deerdawg
20-Feb-19
I agree with BC with practicing distance, it did help me with my accuracy at shorter distances. I would start out at closer range and gradually keep moving back 10 yards at a time. "You and the Arrow become One " Grasshopper.

The sight is an HHA 5019. The form is THOUSANDS of hrs of practice. The results are in the photo. The proof will be at Massapoloosa. See’yas there.

Its Real.. I've Known - drslyr for over 30yrs, I hunt with him, and shoot the local 3d circuit with him. One thing about John...He is a nut about practice, I've seen him shoot a perfect score at a 3D, 30 target course. We both been hunting with a bow since 1970's. But he's gettn old... I hope to beat him one of these years!

From: BC

I have no doubt. I have a buddy who is better on the long shot than a point blank gimme shot.

From: Will
21-Feb-19
I think last year at the saddle get together, Eastie and Drslyr were shooting a 3d turkey, IN THE HEAD at 70yds. Hence the "jaw drop" pat on the back from those of us who know how he shoots.

If you have the space and can practice out there, it's great to help your form and shooting at realistic hunting ranges.

“I smell BS... Doubt that is 90 yards.”. If thats not a troll comment, then its someone that knows nothing about regulars on this site. If thats because your new, then its a stupid comment for a newbie. Always loved this site because there were never arguments or comments like that. Hope this site doesnt turn into the other ones. Nice shooting John I shoot a lot but cant shoot anything like that at 90
