thermal scopes and predator hunting

I think it's been mentioned before on this forum, but has anyone contacted the commissioner on legalizing thermal imaging scopes for predator management on private property (night hunting coyotes)? I had a great conversation with the local game warden on some ideas of how it could possibly work and keep guys in check, but he said the bottom line is you have to bring it before the commissioner.......thoughts? has anyone brought this before the new commissioner yet?
