With the twisters going on in the southern states just wondering what happens to the deer and other wildlife. I mean u would think u would see carcasses and I never do ,do the flee the area ? They must . And I know one thing I would have a foundation in my house!
It's amazingly terrible down there eh? I'm sure some creatures get sucked up and flung... likely to their death. But, I suspect the damage to the forest is actually awesome for critters. You end up with a swath of woods open for new growth with thousands of trees knocked down all different directions. What amazing food (new growth) and bedding cover!
I think MDFW just had an article online or in the paper magazine they produce (MassWildlife) that discussed the positive impact for several animals as a result of the Tornado that went from Springfield east about 30-40 miles. I know you can still clearly see it's path when you drive 84 south, about 1-2 miles south of the pike. It looks like a big powerline cut about 3 X or 4X wider than a normal power line, going over a hill on the west of the road and through what was, I think, a camp ground to the east. It's starting to look less obvious, but for the first several years, WOW, it was amazing!
Positive energy goes to those folks experiencing the Tornado's lately -they have gotten obliterated!
They all come up to Z11 !!!!!!
