Anyone try it, I got a few football roasts from my buck thought I might try. Anyone try it or have a recipe for the brine.

Yes, it's delicious. That's what my wife and I did a couple of times. I didn't save the recipe, you will have to Google it. Some recipes call for a 3-5 day soak, others call for up to 10 days.

This recipe is Smack your Mamma Good!
The whole site is pretty awesome.
I made Corned Moose out of moose brisket, it was absolutely unbelievable. My Moosetrami came out too dry after I smoked it, so I'll stick to Corning it in the future.

I've made them with roast but they come out better with backstrap. If it's a big roast let brine for more then 7 days.

Corned Venison Hash
Corned Venison Hash
Similar to Passthrough, I have used pre-packaged corned venison mix that comes with the curing salt and spices. I used the one from Cabelas and it turns out great. I use the round, football roasts and brine for a minimum of 5 days. Take out of brine, rinse off and cook in the crock pot for a few hours.
