I didnt want to hijack the "whatcha Shooting" thread... But someone, Bruce I think, then Eastie noted how the sight window "noise" from multi pin sights bugged them.
Full agreement here.
That said, I know older sights, you could take some pins off. So if you wanted to shoot 2 pins, but the sight came with 3-5, you could just take some off.
Can you still do that, or with all the fiber optics and what not is that impossible?
It's an intriguing idea to me. A single pin IQ would interest me. I could ditch my NoPeep and loose a few ounces I'd bet by eliminating the slider and the NoPeep. No idea if it's possible to do though - what say you guys?

I have a 3 pin sight that is 3 yrs old. Bought it because it is super bright. I can see my pin well past dark. Well got sick of the 3 pins and just broke them off so I have 1 pin at 30 yds. Lol

I know you can take black gold pins out.

You just use wire clippers cut em off. Sierra.com has an iq single pin for sale.

WoB, that's exactly what I was thinking, but I suppose most people wouldn't want to get a new sight and them immediately start clipping pins off it...

Interesting points guys. I'm not a fan of buying something, then having to break it :)... But it may be the only way. Ill have to check that 1 pin IQ. Love my HHA, its a GREAT sight, like the bow, I've had it for a long time and am a little "grass is greener" for fun...
