Found a bunch more last night but I was literally running to check the spot (so that I could beat the storms back the house) and didn't pick them. Hope the hail and heavy rains didn't damage them.

You guys are making my mouth water. I looked in one spot yesterday and found nothing. I am hopeful that the little rain we got Wednesday night may cause some to show up. I will look again this weekend.

I usually find quite a few but, not this year yet. I've checked my favorite spots 3 times and nothing.

Out turkey hunting this morning found a boat load. Could easily go back and full a 5gal bucket. Not so sure I want to fight the ticks for them though

Again ...permethrin and you won’t have to worry about ticks again.

Decided to go out with my dad. Found a couple of these huge ones. They look like morals, but have never seen any that big before. Do you guys think they are morals, or something else?

Do not eat the big ones They are not a morel. Some call them false morels. They can be poisonous. I'm envious by the way... that is a lot of mushrooms! Great find!

Thanks Catscratch. We found 3 of those red ones. The 2 I am holding and there is one in the bucket on the right. Got them thrown out last night.

We always called those big red one's "Beefsteaks". Ate them plenty growing up but after reading some of the long term affects they can have, I will not be eating them ever again. Several articles out there about them you can find now.

Found a nice mess last saturday afternoon, most of them were pretty far gone. Should have been picked a couple days earlier. If it doesn't rain tomorrow, will probably go hunting again, but the grass is getting pretty tall, making rooms hard to find.
