Drew a unit 15 archery elk. Anybody have input? How accessable is it? Can I rent horses and DIY? Anybody know a drop camp outfitter?

There's still a decent amount of elk, quality isn't what it used to be but I'm sure you've heard that. Nobody I know will rent horses, not sure why you'd want a drop camp but if you decide you do , or need some info message me.

Unit 15 is not an overly physical hunt. There are a few places where horses would be helpful but not necessary. There are plenty of roads and 2 tracks. The elk are spread out all over the unit so there are many places to hunt. If it's dry, hunting water is great. If it's wet, it can be a tough hunt. They don't really get bugling until about the last few days of the hunt. I wouldn't do a drop camp or try to hire horses. They won't help much. Either go fully guided or completely DIY.
