Couple big bodied bruisers!
That second one really has some potential with that much growth this early.
Nice!!! Exciting times in my world.
Subdivision bucks are growing nicely...
This may not be the place but I already miss Henry's humour on the site.
It's hard to tell, but the buck on the right had 6 points.
Sito: he is Henry Armcnect, a long time KBA member and retired educator.
I’d say you’ve got a shooter on your hands Kyle.
EDIT: That was in May!? You’ve DEFINITELY got a shooter on your hands!!!
"Bat Boy"
"Bat Boy"
Looks like a great spot to put a feeder!
I think its about 3 ft in front of him
Perhaps the feeder is the 80 acres behind him?
No failure piles on any of my spots sorry fellers ;?)
Did you see the bat in the second to last pic of mine? Good looking buck Jeff, love seeing them grow and that's why I leave my cameras out year round.
"3 day series" above, just thought it was cool to see how quickly the flood waters can rise and subside.
Pretty cool pic seeing the doe in the water
Great photo series. We need rain in Hays.
How do you like that "Proof" cam Jeff? The one I'm getting pics with is Mike's, and I've been impressed with the photo quality, trigger time, and battery life.
They are great. I got 2 of them. I am planning to cull this one.
Jeff you are going to waste your buck tag on a cull buck?
I would too. Don’t need him spreading the genetics of that right main beam on for generations to come.
Good lookin bucks there Patrick...they like that stick! Is it a "spit stick" ;?)
lol it's easy...and chick's dig it, transgender chick's that is
I love seeing these velvet pics. Keep em comin boys!
Here ya go Kansas; a couple of weeks ago.
Wow some beautiful animals
I find myself looking at the background and landscape in Sit's pics as much as the deer. Nice pic!
This is a decoy Frank, well a foam target actually...but I left it out a few years ago to see what would show up...
VIDEO
Jason, did you notice he "swathed" the Pigweed there recently, oh and some Alfalfa as well ;?)
Pic isn't clear enough to see what he swathed, but there is sure ample marestail on the edge!
Good pics Buddy that one photo is so perfect ( hence decoy )
Blurry photo but hand holding through a spotter. Scouting trip this past weekend turned up a good one.
So you drew the Mule Deer stamp/tag Joe? Not many of those, congrats!
Drew it when i became a resident of Kansas last June :) Can't figure out how to update my information on Bowsite's profiles.
Edit: Actually took more than 5 minutes and found out how.
Henry: a friend said they had an aging app that would show what you will look like in forty years. It was a pile of dirt.
Right on Joe, that means you're buying the "Archery only" tag ..and that I like! Good luck bud, he's a good'n!
Put some cameras out today. First time I have ventured very far back since the flooding. We still have standing water in the Crp even after all the heat and a bit of a dry spell. I seen a pile of ditch weed and thought about you Sito. No not in a bad way but wondered if the deer would get the munchies after eating it. I could down some golden nuggets and get some funny pictures. Anyhow good luck to all. The corn, beans and volunteer alfalfa look great in my neck of the woods.
Dave the aging app is developed and owned by a Russian company. The deer aging was a joke based on that app.
Cool pic Leftee!
Not sure Pat, could have injured that right side while still "soft"...seen it many times...I can confirm that's one FAT buck
Interesting. I’ve never seen one in velvet with a beam that just stops. Figured an injury would cause a pool of blood or something at the end.
He probably broke the beam off
Summit or Lone Wolf? One helluva pile of corn there.
Found a roadkill the other day. Sad to see.
Looks like the buck Jeff had on camera, bad deal
Sure does, hope this wasn't in Rush County.
Curious what happens to the velvet when a buck is liked this time of year like that? Does it harden at all or just rot?
I know when it’s damaged it will just die and fall off, but didn’t know about road kill... never really thought about it before.
We have one of those funky bucks too.
Last year
Last year
Found his shed this spring
Found his shed this spring
This is the guy I was after last fall and never connected. His main beam turned down last year too. He's put on quite a few inches since last year, hoping to get a crack at him this time around.
Dam that sucks. Sad to see that
Nope, not in Rush County. Pretty good stretch from there actually.
I seem to have alot of Damage on racks this year compared to the past. I have a hell of a ten pointer but his left side is all mangled.
Pulled a BUNCH of cards today...enjoy
Some good ones. Thanks for sharing
That pic with the cat and deer is awesome, he's a big'n!
Hunt, those are a couple nice bucks.
Hunt-Yes! Definitely agree! Would really be some good ones with another year or 2!
I agree, but I'm guessing any of those above will be skewered in short order if they walk by.
Kyle looks like you and Hunt have the same crooked brow tine 8 pointer on camera.
Yep Lee, actually both of those bucks are in my pics above, but on an adjacent property. Difference is they'll be in a natural state on the spot we hunt...we don't cheat
Dang sito we haven’t even had a chance to become friends and your already taken shots at us haha!
Callin' it as I see it brother
No sweat bro well talk. No hard feelings.
His name is Bakers Dozen!
Golly Jason! That’s a dandy right there.
