Man we have been invaded with them ever since they crawled up out of the ground. They sit in Piñon trees and aggravate everyone. I guess they only live for a month or two then die, the new born burrow underground and stay there for up to 17 years....Strange little critters.

Great fishing bait, some people like them on pizza. Back east they come out in droves, I mean DROVES. I remember grade school on the play ground literally piles of them in the corners of the building and on the steps. You can bag them and freeze them for later use.

When you're mountain biking in the foothills and they jump off a tree branch buzzing in your ear I swear it sounds like a Chupacabra pouncing!

Brown trout love them. Catch them freeze them, then take them to a river in the winter, Bam! Trout will hit them fast!

Man, the hours I spent as a kid with those things and my B.B. fun. Still have a kink in my neck from that.
