Caught the little bugger getting late for him to be away from mommy. Saw another baby at the edge of the lawn where their nest is and let it go there. Away he went into the woods to come out another day

That's cool Shawn! We had one of those last year - tiny. It survived in our flower bed and under our front porch... It's still here, and we see it around the yard all the time as a full sized rabbit now. Pretty cool!

Bunnies everywhere this year. I have several in my neighborhood. Watched a pair do a 'mating dance' in the yard the other day, saw several others paired up while driving to work. Hasenpfeffer on the hoof ;-)

DTH I think u need to add it to the collection of animals you already have! My yard is infested with them now that my cat is not around. He used to keep the population in check lol

Definately a no on those mice! You ever have a mice infestation in a seasonal camp for a winter and guarantee you will kill every mouse you see after that. Disgusting creature they are!

Sorry to hear that. Mans best friend. Mine is slowing down at 10 years.

Proline - so true. Mice, chipmunks, flying squirrels, red squirrels etc... they all are nasty beasts! Add ground hog's to that... They are good for feeding coyotes, bears and bobcats, but that's it :)

We found a baby rabbit years ago and kept it for along time in the house then we let it go out on the porch the one day he got off the porch , he would come back every night and most mornings go up on the porch and scratch at the glass door for food. She did that for years I say she cause her first brood she dropped on the porch .they do not make for good indoor pets . She at best tolerated us

Were overrun with coonies out here. See at least a half dozen on every walk around the neighborhood

I agree with most but Will groundhogs are pretty tasty. Some would even say better than eating rabbit if prepared properly. I tried it once and it was tasty. It was a young one done over open fire like a chicken bbq
