The big boy is back again for the 4th year in a row. He had to be at least a 3.5 year old 10 point the first year (but I would guess 4.5). The following year he was a monster 13, then last year he was a bit smaller as an 11, and now he still looks to be an 11. He ias to be at least 7.5 years old now, but maybe older. He is a ghost. Maybe this will be the year.

I'd just like to see him. He was under my stand half hour before I got there opening day '16. He has been completely nocturnal since I got him on camera that year. Unfortunately, there is not much room to move around and relocate for him due to the private property around the area. I can only hunt 1 small piece. Maybe this year will be the year he slips up.

Hey dawgy time to get a laptop to download those pics!!! Nice ones bud

Hey Moons, I would lose it or destroy it if I brought it in the woods! lol , then my wife would kill me.! I usually will leave a card with the camera in the field, cause I found that switching cards can be a problem, some cameras will only take certain size cards. After the camera has a ton of pics, of deer in area, I usually will move camera, at that point and download card. When my sons start to get involved as the season gets closer they usually take over the cameras. At this time of the year, every time I go in I bring a machete / or pole saw and trim access to stands or trim shooting lanes. I tend to travel very light, fanny pack with lots of water. Its a hot time of the year to do it but it has paid off for me many times. My summers fly bye working a ton of hours, so I don't have much time before the season starts to get ready. I really enjoy the whole process of Hunting for Deer, I only wish I had more time! Thanks Bud! You think my picture quality needs work? lol

Moons , Thought you said you hunted in Bolton last year? Went to wedding a few weeks back in Harvard by Oxbow refuge, then Bolton Golf corse for reception. wow that's some nice area. Bet there are some big bucks in that hood. Looked like real nice deer country, bet permission would be tough, old yanks.

Moons Hey your pics suck too buddy! haha , just saying it was a nice area, too far too travel for me, I like to be in my stand in less than an 1/2 hour and they all taste the same, so no need to go to Bolton. How's the new profession working out for you? you running the place yet? haha Have a son getting out of the police academy soon and one overseas in army who when he comes home will be a firefighter. Exciting times for you, i'm sure!

I use a card reader but also have an adapter that I can hook to my phone or iPad to view. I try to keep my "free" iPad Mini in my truck with me this time of year to view pics in case I forget my reader or it dies. We do all know a friend or a friend of a friend who has "the spot". I have a buddy who has a spot over in Ghent, NY and another buddy with a spot in Hillsdale, NY that see more deer in a single sitting than I sometimes do in a season... it's crazy.

Amazing how numbers influence what we encounter. I had a few days in SW CT about 10 years ago where I saw single groups of 40-50 deer. Not small groups all day adding up to 50... But a single giant group of 50! It's crazy when you hunt areas like that.

Wow , A wall hanger for sure! Hope you get a wack at him! Went out last week end, same bucks at cameras and some big Does looking good. Lots of acorns , walnuts dropping, lot of feed available, no caterpillar infestation like last 3 years. I find that the deer will eat out areas of ripe nuts early , and so the timing of the bow opening is about finding which groves are ripe and being in the right stand at the right time. With all the feed, they don't have to move much, if its warm they will more at night. You just never know, each year is a new experience. Is that Beast a 10Pt or better?
