Elk tag drawing

So i just found out i was successful at drawing a 1st weekend antlerless elk tag. Does anyone have insight or helpful advice that might help out?

Did you find out through the mail? I put in for the drawing the first time this year apparently with no luck since they don't tell you when the drawing will be held. I think you will find out a lot more at the mandatory meeting you will have to attend. Sounds like most people work with the landowners who have a general idea of where the herds have been and are going to be, which is why success rates tend to be pretty good. It wasn't much for advice, but i'd be calling the DNR and asking the same questions. Good luck filling your tag.
