RM. trip was good but not much action. Very warm out there. I did come around the corner on a logging road and face to face with a black bear and 2 cubs at 30 yds. Drew my pistol just in case but she was a good mamma and just took them into the brush. M

I'd say it got your heart rate up anyway. It's stuff like that , that makes the hunt anyway. Don't have to kill to be a success. Maybe one day I'll get to go after elk. That's a good looking buck sandman. Good luck with him

Got this big bodied 9 PT, he won't score high but looks to mature so if he shows himself he may get a arrow flung at him
